Our Method

How Every Pendula Programme Works

All three programmes follow the same underlying structure: a short, carefully chosen reading opens each session, and the group then discusses what they have read in relation to their own household and working-life context. The facilitator holds the space rather than directing it.

Materials come from publicly available sources — Singapore government publications, CPF Board documentation, MAS consumer literature, and academic work on household decision-making. Nothing is proprietary. Participants are free to return to the source material independently after sessions.

1

Opening reading

A short, selected text is introduced and read by participants in the room.

2

Structured discussion

The group discusses the reading — what it raises, what it clarifies, what it leaves open.

3

Personal reflection

Participants use the journal or worksheet to record observations for their own use.

4

Closing notes

The session closes with a brief note on the next reading or workshop session materials.

Mid-Career Money Reflection Reading Programme

Four-Month Programme · S$650

Mid-Career Money Reflection Reading Programme

Designed for adults aged 42 to 55 who want a slow, considered look at the household money patterns of their working years — recurring patterns, household conversation rhythms, and the small structures that have formed around income, savings and household decisions. The format is educational and reflective; no advice is offered.

  • Session opens with a structured reading, continues with small-group discussion
  • Four monthly sessions across the programme period
  • Includes clothbound reflection journal and monthly worksheet cards
  • Peer discussion notebook for between-session note-keeping
  • Same cohort meets across all four sessions

Weekend Workshop · S$185

Household Coordination Reading Workshop

A two-day workshop on the language and frameworks of household financial coordination — partner conversations, multi-generational coordination, and the standard rhythms of household money meetings. Participants work through a structured workbook of scenarios. The workshop is educational; no advice or product recommendations are offered. Cohort size of eight to twelve.

  • Two-day weekend format (two half-day or full-day sessions)
  • Printed workbook of coordination scenarios
  • Conversation card set for use between partners or within households
  • Access to a small follow-up reflection circle after the workshop
Household Coordination Reading Workshop
Singapore Schemes Reading Workshop

Weekend Workshop · S$310

Singapore Schemes Reading Workshop

A reading-led workshop on the structure of Singapore's national savings and retirement schemes — CPF, SRS, the public-sector annuity landscape, and the language used in scheme documentation. The workshop is reading-led: participants work through publicly available scheme documentation under guidance, focusing on language and structure rather than product selection.

  • Works directly through CPF and SRS public documentation
  • Facilitator clarifies language and structure, does not interpret on participants' behalf
  • Printed reference binder with organised documentation extracts
  • Vocabulary cards and a glossary card for scheme terminology

Choosing the Right Format

The weekend workshops are a natural starting point for those new to the reading format. The four-month programme suits those who want to stay with a topic over a longer period.
